Armageddon

Armageddon is finally upon us: The oil spill. The Situation has a record deal. And last night, the six-story "King of Kings" roadside Jesus statue in Ohio was struck by lightning and burned to the ground.
The 62-foot-tall statue of Jesus was built in 2004 on the grounds of the evangelical Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati. It cost about $250,000 to construct, and was made of apparently highly-flammable plastic foam and fiberglass. Nicknamed "Touchdown Jesus," the statue was built as a "beacon of hope and salvation," according to the church's founder, Lawrence Bishop.
